Born in Brenham, Texas and raised in Snook, Leigha Schubert is a lifelong resident of the Brazos Valley. After graduating from Snook High School, Leigha went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in History, at Texas A&M University in 2004. Leigha continued her education at Texas A&M and earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006. Following her graduation from Texas A&M, Leigha moved to Killeen, Texas and began teaching Social Studies and coaching at Killeen High School. After two years of teaching, she served as the International Baccalaureate Coordinator for the campus. Leigha continued her post-graduate education at Tarleton State Central Texas (now Texas A&M University Central Texas) and obtained her Principal Certification. She then served as an Assistant Principal at Killeen High School for three years until moving back to Snook in 2011 where she served as an Assistant Principal for A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas. In 2013, Leigha began her study of law at Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. She graduated as a proud Baylor Lawyer in February of 2016.
Leigha became a certified mediator in October of 2018. She continued her mediator training and earned her Advanced Mediator Certificate and Child Protective Services Mediation Certificate in October 2019. Leigha is a TMCA Credentialed Mediator.
Leigha was raised on the family values of hard work and responsibility and has always desired to move back home and give back to the community that provided such a strong foundation of service and leadership. Leigha and her twin brother, Leighton Schubert, worked together beginning in January of 2017. In September 2019, Leigha became the sole owner and attorney at Schubert Law Firm, PLLC. The firm provides assistance in a wide range of legal areas such as family law, wills, business formation, mediation, contracts, real estate and others.
